Christina

If your life was a soundtrack what would your theme song be?
Life is a Highway

What 5 words would your friends use to describe you?
Steady, resourceful, driven, logical, and funny

What is your teaching style / philosophy?
Classes should offer intelligent and creative sequencing so people will stay engaged, feel successful and become strong, but perhaps more importantly, each class should deliver a message that inspires.

What kind of students will love your teaching style?
People who like to laugh; people who want to become better versions of themselves; people who want a great workout but would rather poke out their eyeballs than grind out tedious and repetitive rounds of the same few moves hour after hour.

Who in the yoga world continues to inspire, mentor, and teach you?
I love the steady consistency and deep wisdom of Rod Stryker and am inspired by the flowery language and mythology of Sianna Sherman. I would also love to meet and take training with Maty Ezraty.

Christina instructs the following:
  • YOGA FLOW 1/2
  • Gentle, flowing and relaxing yoga class where clients will explore and move slowly and deeply through the postures. Great for beginners or anyone who wants to move and breath deeply and wants to enjoy a more moderately paced class.  Some arm balances and inversions may be taught, but it's the exception, not the rule.  We always end with a few minutes of savasana at the end of class.

  • Simply Be 2018 | Nadi by Nature
  • According to yoga texts and eastern philosophy, the human body contains 72,000 nadis that channel prana (energy) to every cell. When this system flows freely, we are vital and healthy, integrated and living with consciousness. When it is blocked or stagnant we are not fulfilling our true potential and we can feel tired, weak and under inspired.

The practices of hatha yoga are highly effective in strengthen this flow of prana in our bodies, invigorating the nadi current, and cleansing the system to carry away any obstructions that block the free flow of energy and therefore dampen our enthusiasm. In this one day retreat, we will use yoga technologies and techniques to explore the 7 chakras and the three major nadi channels ida, pingala and shusumna to build awareness, increase energy, pique our motivation, and live up to our full and true potential.
