Sometimes it's hard to see the differences between ourselves and our fellow creatures. We like to think that diversity shows up in the form of gender, skin color or sexuality; something tangible that we can see and therefore overcome. But the fact is, most of our "racism" is hidden in the form of differing beliefs and values, ideas and insights. Being able to accept and respect someone's point of view is much, much more challenging.
There is a quote often recited at the end of a yoga class: “I honor the place in you in which the entire universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is of love, of truth, of light, and of peace. When you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, we are one.”
And sometimes we simplify by saying, "Namaste".
See the light in someone who challenges your view. And have a happy Sunday,
