Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before class. Prior to class you will sign a new student form and take care of payment, but it is also beneficial to give yourself time to sit quietly prior to the start of class. Please visit our locations page to find us... we aren't all that easily viewable from the road and our sign is rustic and quiet. We do have plenty of parking.
WHAT CLASS SHOULD I TAKE FIRST?
All of our instructors are highly qualified to handle basic issues (like tweaky knees or shoulders, and other minor issues) and you can start with any class that seems appealing time and energy-wise. Almost everyone starts with our TRY ME Trial Month which gets you unlimited Essential & Ride Classes for 30 days.
However, if you have more detailed issues we suggest that you start with our Power Pack for Personal Training / Personal Yoga / Personal Pilates for one-on-one instruction. You may need a doctor's permission before working out with us.
If you are interested in our Pilates Reformer Classes, please contact us about setting up your Pilates Power Pack first. This will allow us to teach you about the equipment, the basic principles and essential exercises, as well as thoroughly assess your posture so that you can successfully start our small group Pilates Reformer Classes.
Regardless, please inform the teacher of any injuries and let them know you are new!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Just wear clothing you feel comfortable moving around in. Shoes and socks are not typically worn during the majority of our classes. Ride is an exception. Either shoes with SPD clips or regular exercise shoes can be worn.
IS AGE A FACTOR?
Yoga is for all ages. We have many offerings for all ages and conditions. If one of the primary goals of joining our studio is for the community and social interaction, please let us know and we can direct you to a group that would be most enjoyable to you.
Do you rent mats?
We provide mats and other props free of charge.
